IronRidge Resources (LON:IRR) meeting today with Volkswagen

IronRidge Resources Limited (AIM: IRR, ‘IronRidge’ or the ‘Company’), the African focused minerals exploration company, is pleased to report that it had a well-received meeting today with Volkswagen (‘VW’) in Wolfsburg to present the Company’s lithium project in Ghana.

The meeting is solely part of the Company’s general marketing and promotional activities. The Company intends to have a number of similar meetings globally with other vehicle manufacturers to present the Company’s lithium exploration projects.

As reported in the media, Volkswagen have committed to aggressive electric vehicle and associated battery production targets. Additionally, Volkswagen has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Ghana for the manufacture and assembly of vehicles.

It is on this basis and Volkswagen’s broader electric vehicle and battery manufacturing aspirations, that IronRidge sees synergies between the two companies.

IronRidge Resources is an AIM-listed, Africa focussed minerals exploration company with a lithium pegmatite discovery in Ghana, extensive grassroots gold portfolio in Cote d’Ivoire and a potential new gold province discovery in Chad. The Company holds legacy iron ore assets in Gabon and a bauxite resource in Australia.

IronRidge’s strategy is to create and sustain shareholder value through the discovery and development of significant and globally demanded commodities.
