# ImmuPharma Appoints Kymos Group to Support Kapiglucagon Development

**ImmuPharma plc (AIM: IMM)** has appointed **Kymos Group** as its bioanalytical contract research organisation partner for the development of **Kapiglucagon**, its proprietary glucagon prodrug for Type 1 diabetes applications.

Kymos was selected following a competitive tender process and will support the development and validation of regulated bioanalytical methods for Kapiglucagon, including analysis of samples generated during non-clinical and Phase 1 clinical studies.

The appointment follows ImmuPharma’s recent selection of **Thermo Fisher** as its CMC partner and **Bachem AG** as API manufacturing partner, further building out the development infrastructure for the programme.

Kapiglucagon is being developed to overcome limitations associated with native glucagon, including poor solubility and formulation stability, with potential applications in dual-hormone artificial pancreas systems and other glucagon-based therapies.

ImmuPharma is also evaluating a potential **505(b)(2) regulatory pathway in the US**, subject to FDA confirmation, which could allow the programme to leverage existing data on native glucagon.
