Imara Gold (LON: IGLD) to delist from London Stock Exchange amid restructuring

Imara Gold Plc has confirmed plans to transfer its primary listing from the London Stock Exchange to an alternative trading platform, with a voluntary delisting scheduled to take effect on 20 March 2026. The move is intended to support the company’s ongoing financial restructuring and recapitalisation efforts.

Further Updates

The Company will provide further updates in relation to:

·      its proposed move of its primary stock listing to a new trading platform;

·      progress on the 2025 annual report, audit, and financial reporting;

·      the outcome of the financial restructuring and recapitalisation; and

·      any arrangements for shareholder liquidity.

The decision follows a period of operational and financial strain at the Kilimapesa Gold Mine in Kenya, where challenging conditions resulted in substantial losses, rising debt levels and the suspension of trading in November 2023.

To stabilise the business, Imara has secured an additional US$1.0 million in debt funding and is in advanced discussions to restart mining and processing operations at Kilimapesa under a contractor-funded arrangement.

Management believes the transition will streamline completion of the company’s admission document, enable finalisation of the 2025 audit and better align the business with its longer-term growth strategy. However, shareholders should expect more limited liquidity in the company’s shares following the move.
