Hellenic Dynamics Plc (LSE: HELD) has inked a five-year deal with ELGO-DIMITRA, an Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources located in Greece, to collaborate on research and projects.
ELGO-DIMITRA is a public sector entity under the Greek Ministry of Agriculture, Development and Food that focuses on agricultural research, quality certification and agricultural products.
The collaboration agreement involves joint research, cultivation, evaluation and utilization of specific strains of medical cannabis genetics to produce new varieties and species of cannabis that offer improved quality, yield and adaptability.
Hellenic anticipates that the research will aid its efforts to register its cannabis products in Greece, potentially resulting in Intellectual Property protection on certain genetics, which could be enforced throughout Europe.
