Luis Azevedo Appointed VP of The Mining Council of The National Confederation of Industry in Brazil
Harvest Minerals Limited, the AIM-listed remineralise producer, is pleased to announce that its Non-Executive Director, Mr. Luis Azevedo, has been appointed Vice President (‘VP’) of the newly formed Mining Council of the National Confederation of Industry (‘CNI’) in Brazil.
CNI is the major industry association in Brazil and includes over 27 federations, 1,250 unions, and 700,000 industries. As VP of its Mining Council, Mr. Azevedo will be responsible for addressing guidelines for lobbying and studies, with a focus on improving the mining environment in Brazil. Notably, the Minister of Mines Secretary, three congressman and over 25 associations attended the Mining Council’s inaugural meeting.
Mr. Azevedo is a licensed geologist and lawyer with significant business and mining experience in Brazil. He is currently the Managing Partner of FFA Legal, a legal firm he founded, which has its main office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is focused solely on natural resources companies. His experience spans base metals, fertilisers, industrial minerals, diamonds, and precious metals, and he continually works with the highest levels of all branches of government in Brazil.
