About £730,000 of the grant is earmarked for GreenRoc to advance its active anode material processing capabilities.\n\nThe project is designed to help build a fully integrated European graphite supply chain, cutting dependence on overseas processing while demonstrating a sustainable, pilot-scale purification method.\n\n**GreenRoc’s CEO, Stefan Bernstein, commented:**\n\n“We are delighted to announce this significant grant from the Danish EUDP programme.  This non-dilutive funding will allow GreenRoc to work with and receive technical support from the strong research expertise within two departments at the Danish Technical University as well as from IPU, a leading engineering consultancy company. The EU-Graphite project will be at the forefront of sustainable battery materials innovation in Europe. By validating an HF-free purification process for graphite, we will not only be addressing critical environmental and regulatory challenges but also strengthening Europe’s supply chain resilience for battery-grade materials.\n\n“This funding enables us to accelerate our technical development, reduce execution risk, and move towards industrial-scale production. Our ambition is to establish a fully European, environmentally responsible pathway from resource to battery anode material – reducing dependency on overseas supply and supporting the green energy transition.\n\n“We thank the EUDP and our consortium partners and stakeholders for their trust and collaboration. Together, we are building a foundation for sustainable growth, innovation, and value creation for all our stakeholders.”"}
