Fulcrum Metals strengthens Canadian projects with permitting boost and record gold results

Fulcrum Metals plc (AIM: FMET) has taken a significant step forward in advancing its Canadian tailings projects by appointing WSP Canada Inc. to advise on environmental and engineering permitting strategies for the Teck Hughes and Sylvanite sites.

Alongside the strategic appointment, the company reported its highest-grade gold results on record at Sylvanite, with assays returning values of up to 2.25g/t, while collected samples averaged a robust 1.25g/t. The results reinforce the growing exploration potential of the project and strengthen the case for further drilling.

At Teck Hughes, Fulcrum has expanded its auger drill programme to 150 holes, with the campaign now nearing completion. Additional scout auger holes and sampling are also underway at Sylvanite, feeding into the design of a future, more extensive drilling programme.

Meanwhile, Phase 3 metallurgical testing at Teck Hughes is progressing as planned, with results expected by the end of the year. These findings will play a key role in refining processing strategies and assessing the commercial viability of the tailings material.

The combination of record-grade gold intercepts and strengthened permitting expertise marks another important milestone as Fulcrum moves toward unlocking the value of its historic Ontario tailings assets.

Ryan Mee, Chief Executive Officer of Fulcrum, commented:

“We are making significant progress to advance our Kirkland Lake projects to production. The expanded auger drill programme at Teck Hughes is nearly complete and new sampling at Sylvanite has just produced our highest gold assays to date of up to 2.25g/t with further sampling underway.

“The appointment of WSP, who have extensive experience in mine approval, engineering and technical experience, is another milestone for the Company, as we continue to advance discussions with all stakeholders.

“I look forward to updating shareholders on the progress of the auger drilling, sampling and assay results at both Teck Hughes and Sylvanite, as well as the phase 3 metallurgical work currently being undertaken at Teck Hughes.”
