FTSE 100 closes at record high (again)

The FTSE 100 has ended the trading day on another record high, closing 1.42pc higher at 7,947.60 points.

In comes, 10 days after the FTSE 100 closed at an all-time high of 7,901.8 on Friday 3rd February. Less than a week later, on Thursday 9 February, the blue-chip index broke that record again after closing at 7911.15.

It marks a swift recovery for the blue-chip index after slipping below 7,900 last Friday.

The FTSE 250 also climbed 0.47pc to 20,124.52.
