EnergyPathways plc (AIM: EPP) has raised £1.75 million through a placing with a single institutional subscriber, closing the fundraising first announced on 28 September.
The investor subscribed for 30,434,782 new shares at 5.75p each and had requested to invest in the company on a sole basis.
EnergyPathways plans to use the proceeds to accelerate development of its MESH energy project and provide additional working capital.
The company said planned expenditure includes the potential acquisition of land, existing pipelines and technical data, with the aim of further de-risking MESH ahead of potential institutional and strategic investment.
EnergyPathways said it remains in active discussions with prospective institutional and strategic partners. Completion of the fundraising also brings the company’s Capital Access Window to an end.
Trading in EnergyPathways’ existing ordinary shares is expected to resume at 7.30am on 13 October 2026, following the temporary suspension associated with the fundraising process.
The placing shares are expected to begin trading on AIM at 8am on 15 October, subject to admission becoming effective.
Following admission, EnergyPathways will have 282,134,998 shares in issue.
The 30.4 million placing shares will represent around 10.8% of the enlarged share capital, meaning existing shareholders will experience dilution from the transaction.
For investors, the key benefit is that EnergyPathways has secured fresh institutional capital to advance MESH and acquire assets intended to reduce development risk.
The next significant catalyst is whether that additional work helps the company convert its current discussions into larger-scale institutional or strategic project funding, while the restoration of trading will provide the first market indication of how investors value the fundraising and revised capital position.
