EnergyPathways Joins UK Critical Minerals Association to Support MESH Project Development

EnergyPathways PLC announced that it has joined the Critical Minerals Association (UK), strengthening its ties with a key network that connects industry, academia, and government to bolster the UK’s critical mineral supply chains.

The membership aligns with EnergyPathways’ strategic focus on advancing its flagship MESH Project, which aims to produce high-grade synthetic graphite — a critical component in battery and energy storage technologies.

Targeted to be operational by 2030, the MESH Project is expected to provide the UK market with a secure, dependable supply of affordable low-carbon energy for more than 25 years.

In addition to synthetic graphite production, the planned MESH facility will generate low-carbon hydrogen through an innovative methane pyrolysis process, further supporting the UK’s energy transition and net-zero ambitions.

EnergyPathways said its collaboration within the Critical Minerals Association will help accelerate technology development, promote responsible sourcing, and enhance strategic resilience in the UK’s clean energy supply chain.

Ben Clube, CEO of EnergyPathways, commented:

“We are proud to join the Critical Minerals Association (UK). The CMA brings together the full value chain and provides industry with a collective voice with which to engage the UK Government. Its role as Secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Critical Minerals and its parliamentary events provide a valuable platform for constructive dialogue. As we progress MESH, membership will help ensure our planned synthetic graphite production contributes to secure, responsible UK supply chains and supports the UK’s industrial resilience.”

Kirsty Benham, Chief Executive Officer, Critical Minerals Association (UK) commented:

“EnergyPathways’ MESH project is an exciting, innovative opportunity for integrated clean energy solutions, and I’m delighted that the Company is looking to develop graphite production capability, particularly considering the importance of graphite for the UK’s critical minerals supply chains. I look forward to working closely with and supporting the work of EnergyPathways as a new member of the Critical Minerals Association (UK).”
