Alongside the appointment, Empire Metals has also extended its partnership with TiPMC Consulting, a specialist advisory firm providing strategic insights into the titanium pigment and metal markets.
Meanwhile, bulk metallurgical testwork is progressing, following the release of initial results on 28 August 2025. The programme involves mineral separation techniques requiring bulk feed samples of between 0.5 and 1.5 tonnes. Key areas of focus include:
-
Ore scrubbing
-
Desliming
-
Gravity spiral separation
-
Flotation testwork
The testwork is designed to generate mineral concentrates for downstream processing, as well as larger product samples for evaluation by potential end-users.
Empire said the combined efforts of new commercial leadership, expert market analysis, and technical progress in metallurgy position the Pitfield project for the next stage of development and potential market entry.
