Elon Musk is contemplating pulling Twitter out of the EU.

Elon Musk has reportedly indicated that X, previously known as Twitter, might become unavailable in Europe to bypass new EU regulations.

The head of Tesla and SpaceX seems to be at odds with the stipulations set by the Digital Services Act, a legislation introduced by the European Commission, as per Business Insider.

After purchasing Twitter, now rebranded as X, last year for $44 billion, Musk has deliberated over restricting European Union users from the platform or possibly removing the app from the continent entirely.

An MEP from Romania described the EU as morphing into an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth”. The Digital Services Act empowers the EU to decide the veracity of content on some of the globe’s major websites.
