Eco Buildings Group ( AIM: ECOB ) Soars 90% Following €420m Chile Contract Win

Eco Buildings Group PLC (AIM: ECOB) shares soared nearly 90% in early Tuesday trading after the UK-based sustainable modular construction company announced a landmark €420 million contract with the Chilean government to manufacture and supply 20,000 modular homes under its flagship social housing programme.

The seven-year contract follows the company’s successful completion of a rigorous certification process with Chilean authorities. The first phase of the project will see 607 homes delivered in 2026, supported by a 50% upfront deposit of €12.75 million.

Executive vice-chairman Dr Etrur Albani described the deal as a transformational step for the company:

“Securing our first project in Latin America represents an important milestone for Eco Buildings and demonstrates the scalability of our revolutionary technology across new markets.”

To support delivery, Eco will establish a new manufacturing line in Chile, with factory installation planned for Q2 2026. The company noted that the structured payment system, featuring advance deposits for each tranche, provides strong cash flow visibility throughout the contract period.

Dr Albani added:

“Chile provides a strong regulatory framework and a strategic entry point into the wider region. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, sustainable, and affordable housing through an efficient, industrialised approach. We believe our technology can help governments and developers accelerate housing delivery across Latin America in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible way.”

The announcement marks Eco Buildings’ first major project in Latin America, significantly expanding its international footprint and positioning the company for further growth in the global modular housing sector.
