# Critical Mineral Resources targets October for maiden Agadir resource

[Critical Mineral Resources PLC (LON: CMRS)](https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/prn/critical-mineral-resources-plc--cmrs/mineral-resource-update/9731016) is targeting **October 2026** for publication of the maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate at its **Agadir Melloul copper project in Morocco**.

Independent consultancy **Addison Mining Services** has been appointed to prepare the estimate and has begun reviewing geological, drilling and assay data following a site visit to inspect the project, drill core and exploration procedures.

The maiden resource will primarily cover **Zone 1 North**, incorporating delineation, infill and step-out drilling completed during 2025 and 2026.

Importantly, the initial estimate is expected to represent only around **5% to 6% of CMR’s existing permit area**, leaving substantial scope for further resource growth across the wider project.

Addison said it was “extremely encouraged” by the geology and mineralisation observed during its review and highlighted the potential scale of the target.

CMR Chief Executive **Charlie Long** said the maiden JORC estimate would provide the project’s first independently assessed resource and establish an important technical foundation for the next phase of development.

Exploration will continue elsewhere at Agadir Melloul while Addison completes the resource work.
