This is the first horizontal well drilled by the Company and was recently perforated over a 152 meter length.\n\n**Initial results**\n\nWe are pleased to announce that using an 8mm choke the well has produced for the past three days at a rate of approximately 90 tonnes per day or approximately 645 bopd.\n\nProduction at this level is expected to increase total production by approximately 50 per cent.\n\nThe majority of the oil produced from the well is expected to be sold by reference to international rather than domestic prices.\n\nThe Company intends to drill further horizontal wells on the MJF structure and once the final licence upgrade is received at the South Yelemes structure.\n\n**Comment**\n\n**Clive Carver, non-executive chairman commented:**\n\n“For some time we have believed that the shallow structures at the BNG Contract Area, namely the MJF structure and the South Yelemes, would be suitable for a horizontal well.\n\nThe Company now plans to drill further horizontal wells on each structure.”\n\n**Contacts:**\n\n**Caspian Sunrise PLC**\n\n**Clive Carver**\n\n**Chairman +7 727 375 0202**\n\n**Qualified person**\n\nMr. Assylbek Umbetov, a member Association of Petroleum Engineers, has reviewed and approved the technical disclosures in this announcement."}
