Byotrol Plc (AIM: BYOT), a company specializing in infection prevention and control, is thrilled to announce that its unique 24-hour germ-killing surface sanitiser, Byotrol 24 (EPA Reg. Number 83614-1), has gained official approval for long-lasting virucidal claims by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
This approval was secured after business hours on 22 May 2023.
The board is convinced that this is the inaugural product to gain such an endorsement from the EPA. Consequently, Byotrol24, along with its sub-brands, is now equipped to provide unparalleled and extremely pertinent claims and performance traits to both American consumers and businesses. This encompasses the authority to assert effectiveness against certain present and emergent viral pathogens, including influenza, coronavirus, and norovirus (via the generally accepted substitute, feline calicivirus).
The company continues to develop partnerships and commercial prospects in the US, inclusive of a previously revealed prominent sub-licensee in the US institutional market. The sub-licensee remains engaged in preparing a market introduction, with the newly approved product claims central to its marketing approach.
Byotrol’s Executive Director, David Traynor, remarks:
“This is a tremendous milestone for Byotrol, validating the superior quality of our US surface sanitisers.
The attention of customers and consumers has equally expanded to virus protection alongside bacteria. With this new endorsement, we can now substantiate specific long-lasting effectiveness against viruses, which is expected to substantially enhance the market potential of our US-based products.”
