Bushveld Minerals Limited (AIM: BMN) regrets to announce the death of Ms Dolly Mokgatle, independent non-executive director of the Company. The Board extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Ms Mokgatle’s family and would like to take this opportunity to express its thanks for her contribution to the Company.
Ms Mokgatle joined the Board of Bushveld in March 2020, having already had a hugely distinguished career as a business leader in South Africa, holding various significant leadership positions within several of South Africa’s state-owned enterprises, as well as within the private sector. As a senior advisor to the government on electricity-related matters, Ms Mokgatle made contributions that have shaped the country’s energy policy.
Ian Watson, Chairman of Bushveld Minerals Limited, commented:
“The news of the passing of Mrs Dolly Mokgatle following her joining our Board of Directors in March 2020 is a great loss for us. Dolly quickly immersed herself in her role on our Board and was a delight to work with, providing much insight and advice to not just me as the Chairperson, but to the broader Board. I was looking forward to a long journey with her and am deeply saddened to hear of her untimely passing.”
Fortune Mojapelo, CEO of Bushveld Minerals Limited, commented:
” We are all deeply saddened by this tragic news. In her short time with Bushveld, Dolly made a huge contribution to the Board, especially in what was a difficult year for everyone. On behalf of the Board, and everyone at Bushveld, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues.”
