Nadhim Zahawi, an MP, will continue to serve as such and attacked the media after Rishi Sunak called him on Sunday morning.
After Sir Laurie Magnus, his ethics advisor, discovered that Mr Zahawi had committed a “serious violation of the Ministerial Code,” over his taxes, the Prime Minister fired him.
After it was revealed that Zahawi had paid an estimated £ 4.8 million to HMRC during his time as chancellor, Mr Zahawi was under fire.

Sir Laurie stated that he had failed to declare “any interest which might be thought of giving rise to conflict.” In a letter to his former Cabinet colleague, Mr Sunak mentioned his promise on Downing Street to lead an “integrity” Government.
In response to the Prime Minister, Mr Zahawi wrote that “you can be assured of my support from the backbenches over the next years.” Your five priorities are the right priorities and I will do everything I can to help deliver them.
He also attacked the media, saying he was “concerned…about the conduct of some of the fourth estate during recent weeks”. He also highlighted the headline of The Independent titled ‘The Noose tightens’. This was about calls for his resignation from fellow Conservative MPs.
