BlueRock Diamonds PLC, the AIM-listed diamond producer, which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine (‘Kareevlei’) in the Kimberley region of South Africa, announces the discovery of an 11.95 carat stone. The stone will go to tender later this week with an expected valuation in excess of US$100,000.
Mike Houston, Executive Chairman said, “This is another excellent discovery that underpins Kareevlei’s ability to deliver large high value diamonds. Given the stone’s size and quality and continuing market buoyancy, we look forward to the upcoming tender to build on the success of the January sales, which achieved an average price of USD565 per carat (2021 average: USD465ct).”
