Blencowe Resources (LON:BRES) verifies concentrate standards following visit to China.

Blencowe Resources PLC (LSE: BRES) reported that pilot examinations of graphite samples from its Orom-Cross project in Uganda have indicated the potential for a high-quality, low-contaminant concentrate.

Approximately 100 tons of graphite from Orom-Cross were transported to China for pilot treatment.

Blencowe mentioned in an announcement that they, along with Ugandan government officials, recently inspected the Chinese facility where the processing is being managed by Jilin New Technology.

Highlights:

·    Blencowe has successfully completed a critical component of the Definitive Feasibility Study (“DFS”), with the successful scaled commercialisation of the flowsheet within the bulk sample processing at Chinese pilot plant graphite production facility.

·    Results continue to highlight a high-grade, low impurity concentrate can be delivered in bulk from Orom-Cross.

·    Several meetings held with leading Chinese graphite offtake firms seeking both large flake and fines concentrates.

·    Ugandan mining officials visited China with Blencowe and were shown the process facility in support of the project.

·    Blencowe now approached for downstream processing opportunities.

The visit’s objective was to directly verify with the pilot plant’s team about the anticipated enhancements in recovery and concentrate quality. This follows the optimization of the Pre-Feasibility Study processing approach by experts at Wuhan University.

Furthermore, Blencowe had discussions with major Chinese graphite purchasers who are interested in both large flake and fine concentrates. Inquiries regarding downstream processing prospects were also made.

The firm anticipates concluding the bulk sample testing phase by August’s close.
