Avacta Opens Capital Access Window Ahead of Equity Fundraise

Avacta (AIM: AVCT) currently expects its existing cash resources to last into early Q1 2027 and is continuing discussions with potential partners for its next-generation assets.

Proceeds from the proposed equity raise would be used to extend that runway and support development of AVA6103, continuation of the AVA6000 programme and advancement of AVA6207 towards Phase 1 trials.

The Capital Access Window took effect at 7.30am BST on 30 September and represents a voluntary temporary pause in AIM trading while the company approaches a wider range of investors and seeks to establish pricing for the raise.

Trading will remain paused until Avacta announces the outcome of the fundraising.

The company has not yet disclosed the amount it intends to raise, the issue price, number of new shares or expected dilution, with those terms due to be announced separately if the transaction proceeds.

For investors, the immediate issue is therefore financing rather than clinical progress alone. Extending the runway would give Avacta more time to advance its pipeline and pursue partnering discussions from a stronger position, but the impact on existing shareholders will depend heavily on the fundraise size and discount to the pre-window share price.

Investor takeaway: Avacta Therapeutics has entered AIM’s new Capital Access Window ahead of a proposed equity raise intended to extend its cash runway beyond early Q1 2027. The temporary trading pause provides pricing stability during the fundraise, but the size, issue price and resulting dilution have not yet been disclosed.
