Audioboom Reports Record First Half as EBITDA Jumps 80%

Audioboom (AIM: BOOM) has reported a record first half of 2026, with adjusted EBITDA profit rising 80% to US$3.2 million and revenue increasing 30% to US$45.7 million.

Gross profit climbed 33% to US$9.9 million, while gross margin improved to 22% from 21% a year earlier.

The company’s Showcase advertising marketplace was a major growth driver, with first-half revenue up 60% to US$18.6 million.

Average monthly distribution across downloads and video views reached 183 million during the second quarter, an increase of 84% year-on-year.

Audioboom ended June with US$5.4 million in cash and has a further US$3.3 million available through an overdraft facility.

The company has also reached agreement in principle with HSBC on a new revolving credit facility of up to US$10 million to support its growth strategy.

As of 14 July, Audioboom had already booked more than US$81 million of revenue for 2026, exceeding total revenue of US$80.4 million achieved across the whole of 2025.

Commercial progress included new partnerships with Spotify and Apple aimed at expanding video advertising and subscription opportunities, with technology integrations expected to go live during the second half.

Audioboom also added several new creator partnerships, including Crooked Media, RedHanded, Hear Me Out, Evolution of a Snake and Swindled.

The company confirmed that deferred consideration relating to its acquisition of Adelicious was £0.9 million, substantially below the maximum potential payment, while no contingent consideration was payable.

Audioboom also concluded its strategic review during the period after rejecting three indicative takeover proposals that the board believed undervalued the company and its prospects.

Chief executive Stuart Last said the first-half performance demonstrated the operating leverage within the business, with revenue growth of 30% translating into an 80% increase in adjusted EBITDA.

He added that the company enters the second half with strong momentum, more than US$81 million of booked revenue and a continued focus on profitable, acquisition-led growth.
