Arkle Expands Namibia Uranium Drilling After Visual Carnotite Logged

Arkle Resources (LON: ARK) said its maiden reverse circulation drilling programme at the Erongo Uranium Project in Namibia is progressing as planned and has now been expanded.

The initial programme of around 1,500 metres is taking place on EPL8995, with 52 holes completed to date for 1,017 metres.

Carnotite, a secondary uranium mineral and the principal ore mineral in regional surficial uranium deposits, has been visually logged in RC drill chips in three holes across two fence lines.

The mineralisation was observed at downhole depths of between 4 metres and 15 metres, although Arkle stressed that laboratory assay results are required to determine uranium content.

The company has collected 1,016 one-metre samples so far under its QA/QC protocols, with selected intervals to be sent to Actlabs in Windhoek for laboratory analysis.

Downhole gamma ray spectrometer surveying has also begun and will be used alongside geological logging to determine which drill intervals are submitted for assay.

Arkle said programme efficiencies have allowed it to add further drilling while the rig and field team remain mobilised.

The expanded programme will include the western paleochannel target previously mapped by HLEM, step-out holes on the eastern paleochannel target, and the first drill test of the primary ULG target exposed by recent trenching.

Chief executive Rory Harding said the decision to expand the programme reflected both operational efficiency and the opportunity to test the company’s two principal uranium target styles within a single field season.

He added that shareholders should expect steady news flow through the second half of 2026 as results are received.

First assay results from the drilling programme are expected in early September 2026.

No assay results have yet been received, and no conclusions on grade or continuity can be drawn until laboratory results have been validated and reported.
