Alexander Selegenev, Executive Director of TMT Investments Plc (AIM:TMT): Interview

TMT Investments PLC (AIM:TMT), the venture capital company which invests in high-growth, technology companies across a number of core specialist sectors, is pleased to announce its final results for the year ended 31 December 2016. Share Talk spoke to Executive Director, Alexander Selegenev to find out more.

The Share Talk team took the opportunity to speak with Alexander Selegenev the Executive Director of TMT Investments (AIM:TMT). TMT, the venture capital company which invests in high-growth, technology companies across a number of core specialist sectors, released final results for the year ended 31 December 2016.

In our interview, Alexander gives an overview of the company; from concept to an IPO on AIM in December 2010 when they raised $20M. Its aims have been to provide equity and equity-related investment capital, such as convertible loans, to private companies which are seeking capital for growth and development, consolidation or acquisition, or as a pre-IPO round of financing. In addition, TMT had the intention to invest in companies across the tech sector which had securities listed on a stock exchange or over-the-counter market.

As you can see from these results, TMT are certainly achieving on their aims/goals and intentions. They now have a diversified portfolio of over 30 companies focused around big data, e-commerce, and business SaaS (software-as-a-service) tools. With 80% of their investments being in companies in the USA Silicon Valley.

Alexander talked briefly about the rapid growth of two TMT portfolio companies Taxify and Pipedrive. Taxify is an Estonian rideshare service that across the Baltic region is challenging the behemoth that is Uber! Taxify is now also making in roads into Mexico, Africa and other emerging markets.

Pipedrive also originates from Estonia and is a leading Customer relations management company, its sales management tools are designed to help small sales teams manage intricate or lengthy sales processes. Pipedrive has grown so rapidly that it has now relocated its HQ to New York in the USA.
