Ajax CEO increases shareholding to 17.19% following purchase of 450,000 shares

Ajax (AQSE: AJAX) has announced that Chief Executive Director Ippolito Ingo Cattaneo has purchased an additional 450,000 ordinary shares, increasing his total holding in the natural resources investment company to 17.19%.

Following the transaction, Cattaneo now holds 20,650,000 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of 1 pence, representing a significant ownership position in the Aquis-listed company.

The purchase increases his previous holding from 20.2 million shares and further strengthens his direct financial exposure to Ajax’s future performance.

The transaction represents an additional investment by the company’s chief executive, aligning his personal financial interests more closely with those of other shareholders.

Ajax is currently advancing its natural resources investment and exploration strategy, including activities at its Macacha copper and silver project in Argentina.

The company recently reported progress towards environmental approval for its planned exploration drilling programme at Macacha, alongside efforts to expand its licence portfolio in Salta Province.

For investors, the director’s increased shareholding represents a notable insider transaction, although the announcement does not disclose the purchase price or total consideration paid.

Cattaneo’s enlarged 17.19% ownership stake gives him substantial exposure to the company’s future performance as Ajax progresses its exploration activities.
