Abingdon Health plc (AIM: ABDX) has provided an update on its partnership with 4TEEN4 Pharmaceuticals GmbH, focused on the co-development of a companion diagnostic for a potentially life-saving shock therapy.
The collaboration supports the development of invobenitug (procizumab, AK1967), a first-in-class antibody treatment targeting cardiogenic and septic shock. As part of the programme, Abingdon is acting as legal manufacturer and CDMO partner for DPP3 InvoSelect, a lateral flow-based companion diagnostic designed to identify patients most likely to respond to the therapy.
The project combines several of Abingdon’s core capabilities, including lateral flow assay development, regulatory strategy, scalable manufacturing and synchronised co-development aligned with the therapeutic’s clinical timeline.
The company said the diagnostic is being designed with a customised reader to provide rapid and accurate quantification of cDPP3 at the point of care, supporting treatment decisions in critical care settings.
Chris Yates said tightly integrated companion diagnostics represent an opportunity to improve patient outcomes and highlighted the close collaboration between the two companies as the programme advances.
The partnership was originally announced in June 2025, although the identity of the customer and project details were withheld at that time for confidentiality reasons.
