Oracle Power PLC (AIM: ORCP) has submitted a Native Vegetation Clearing Permit application for its Northern Zone Gold Project, located around 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The application has been lodged with Western Australia’s Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and represents another permitting milestone as Oracle advances the project towards development.
Approval of the permit would allow the company to clear native vegetation required for future mining operations under Western Australia’s Environmental Protection Act 1986.
The permitting work is progressing alongside preparation of the project’s Mine Development and Closure Proposal, which remains on track for submission to the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration in early September.
The MDCP represents a key operating approval required before mining can commence, making the upcoming submission an important step in the project’s development pathway.
Oracle said it is also working with funding partner MEGA Resources on mine planning and scheduling as it moves towards development of the Northern Zone project.
