Greatland Resources Ltd (AIM:GGP, ASX:GGP) has announced a change to its senior leadership team, with Chief Operating Officer Simon Tyrrell resigning from his position.
The company said Tyrrell will remain available until June 30, 2026, to support a smooth transition while a formal process begins to appoint a permanent replacement.
Otto Richter, Greatland’s group mining engineer since 2021, has been appointed Acting COO with immediate effect. Richter brings more than 25 years of experience across open-pit and underground gold mining and has played a key role in operational and mine planning decisions since joining the company.
Greatland Managing Director, Shaun Day, commented: “Simon has been an important part of Greatland’s management team and we appreciate his positive contribution towards the Company’s safety and operational outcomes. I thank Simon for his efforts and commitment to Greatland and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
The leadership update comes as Greatland continues to integrate and optimise its flagship Western Australian assets, including the 100%-owned Telfer mine and the nearby Havieron gold-copper project in the Paterson Province. The company recently highlighted strong cash flow from Telfer and ongoing development progress at Havieron, supporting its strategy to build a long-life gold-copper operation in the region.
Greatland remains focused on maintaining operational continuity while advancing production, development and exploration across its core asset base.
