Neo Energy Metals’ share price up by 28%, follow-on placement after debuting on the LSE

On Friday, Neo Energy Metals PLC (LSE: NEO) witnessed its share value climb by 28% following a successful additional share placement that generated £500,000 on the London Stock Exchange’s main market, subsequent to its initial public offering.

Earlier in the week, the Nairobi-headquartered firm marked its entry as the premier dedicated uranium producer on the London main market, through a reverse acquisition by Stranger Holdings PLC.

Brokerage firm First Equity noted that Neo Energy Metals had garnered £4.9 million in total gross proceeds from its initial public offering the day before, launching with a market capitalization of £15 million.

First Equity analyst Jason Robertson commented that the company’s primary attention is directed towards an economic uranium venture located in South Africa’s Northern Cape Province, charting a definitive course towards production.

Owning the lion’s share in the Henkries Uranium Project in the Northern Cape, Neo Energy Metals is building upon a site that has seen historical exploration and mining investments surpassing US$30 million.

Projected feasibility studies reveal a significant uranium deposit of 4.7 million pounds at the location.

In a recent press release, the uranium enterprise announced the generation of £500,000 by issuing 40 million new ordinary shares, priced at 1.25 pence each, which are to be admitted to the LSE’s main market.

Following this new share issuance, the company’s total issued share capital will stand at 1,256,371,468 ordinary shares, each carrying voting rights.

Sean Heathcote, the CEO of Neo Energy Metals, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the additional £500,000 placement, emphasizing it as a testament to the potential of Neo Energy Metals PLC (LSE: NEO).

Heathcote highlighted the sustained demand for the company’s shares following the prospectus release and pointed to the robust investor confidence in the firm’s business strategy, its assets, and its long-term growth trajectory.
