London Stock Exchange trading disrupted after ‘incident’

The London Stock Exchange temporarily halted trading for numerous stocks due to a system-related issue.

Currently, only shares from the FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and IOB (international order books) markets are open for trading, according to the exchange.

All other stocks remain on hold as the incident is being examined by the London Stock Exchange.

This suspension impacts shares of several companies, including Asos, Deliveroo, and Boohoo.

Following this announcement, the FTSE 100 saw a decrease, with the index falling by 1.06% to 7,508.69 today.

Just moments before the markets were about to shut, the London Stock Exchange released an update stating:

FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and IOB securities are functioning without issues.

The London Stock Exchange has confirmed that there will be no continued trading for the affected securities.

Details regarding the Closing Auction for the impacted stocks will be provided soon.

The London Stock Exchange has not provided additional comments on the matter.
