I have to say that the history of Bank of England Governor Mark Carney’s tenure has not been one which has filled me with joy.

Part of this have clearly been jealousy issues associated with his “matinee idol looks” and the £1 million package, as well as him clearly being friends with former Chancellor and now “journalist” George Osborne.

Given that I am a “wise old head”, or at least someone who has been involved with the stock market for nearly 30 years, the cycles that shares go through, is something I take note of.

What is interesting as far as small caps/growth companies, is that unlike the blue chips the good times only roll occasionally.

The fact that it had not done for years, and was in danger of being labelled “the world’s most ineffectual cartel” meant that as well as being the most famous.
