For those of you lucky enough to have a golden ticket Swen LorenzCEO, Master Investor offers some words of advice to get the most out of the event. The Master Investor Show offers you a wealth of possibilities.
– CEOs, executive staff and founders of 100 companies.
– 50 presentations that vary in length from 10 minutes to 1 hour.
– New technologies to try out and like-minded people to speak to.
With less than two weeks to go, I would like to offer you some tips on how to make the most out of your day.
1: Download our Show Guide. You can pick up a printed copy at the event. Or you can take a look at the Show Guide online from this Friday onwards. It will contain the exact timings of all presentations, the stand plan, and lots of other useful information. The Show Guide will be available at www.masterinvestor.co.uk/show from Friday April 15th 3pm onwards.
2: Don’t ever be afraid to speak to someone. Every exhibitor and speaker is there to help you learn as much new information as possible. If someone interests you, approach them. I promise none of them will bite!
3: Come early to avoid the crowd. We have a record sign-up of delegates and the event will be very busy. We open our doors at 9am and all exhibitor booths will be open already at that time. There are also the traditional Breakfast Presentations between 9.10am and 9.55am (upstairs in Room A). Come early and beat the crowds!
4: Get a delegate bag when you enter. Not only will you get the material that 20+ companies have prepared for the bag, it’ll also make it easier for you to collect more brochures and other material during the rest of the day. We have made sure there are no heavy items in the bag, so carrying it with you will be easy.
5: Have lunch and snacks at the venue. The Networking Zone in the center of the mezzanine floor will have drinks and snacks for sale. Additionally, we’ll provide croissants and coffee for the early birds at the Breakfast Presentations – our treat!
6: If you want to speak to a presenter personally, grab them after their presentation. If there is anyone you’d like to ask additional questions to or simply meet personally, stay around after their presentation. Most of them will be available to have a chat with delegates after they exit the podium.
7: Don’t miss speaking to our own guys. You’ll be well familiar with James Faulkner, Victor Hill, Simon Cawkwell and Robert Sutherland-Smith. They are part of the team behind our daily blog, e-letter and magazine. You can meet them at stand 10/11. I gave them a double stand to make sure there is enough space for several of our contributors to be there and meet you. James and his team are eager for feedback on how we can make our publications more useful to you.
8: Watch out for presentations in the Auditorium. We have added a new venue, the “Auditorium”, a large meeting room upstairs. Venue signage will guide you up there. This is the place where some of our most exciting presentations will take place be, all centered around a “How to” of investing and aimed at helping you become a more successful investor.
9: In the lead-up to the event, follow us on social media. We are continuously publishing bite-sized information about the event. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get all the latest updates, as soon as they happen!
10: See it all as a first step! We only host this big event once per year, but we provide our readers with lots more information on the other 364 days per year. If the Master Investor Show is your first step into the world of investing, then see it as an introduction and then make use of our other services – all of which are free!
And as a bonus, here is a recommendation from Jim Mellon, one of our contributors and a main stage speaker at the event:
“We are at a crossroads in investing terms at the moment.
I hope we can help you to take the right fork in the complicated road.”
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to simply drop me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Every single email I receive gets replied to within a day or two.
I am looking forward to seeing you on Saturday April 23rd!
