We have been following the UKOG story closely, they have drilled BB-1z side track well near Billingshurst area and the Broadford Bridge site. Reading Twitter account updates and looking at images being posted, the latest while writing this was “Perforation gun (1.1D class explosive) leaving Broadford Bridge. Flow testing underway.”
Are today’s financial industry players paying attention to the revolution that is ongoing across the social media landscape today, being played out right in front their eyes?
Imagine that you’re a farmer. You live in a rural county where everybody raises sheep.
The county’s farmers, on the whole, prosper. Their flocks tend to grow by 10 percent every year. Some years are better than others. In the best years, the sheep population in the county grows by 40 percent. Little lambs are everywhere!
But in the worst years — years filled with frost, famine, and disease — the sheep population can collapse to half of what it was before.
Are today’s financial industry players paying attention to the revolution that is ongoing across the social landscape today, right before their eyes, or is it? Public relation companies are competing against an undercurrent they are totally unaware of, they don’t see or have access to the DM groups behind the public message they read on in the public domain.
Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Viber to name a few, are the powerful tools of choice for today savvy punters. These platforms are used on a daily basis investors to communicate with like minded people.
Full disclosure up front, I am long on NCC. I have been so for many years. NCC is currently one of my top 5 holdings. NCC recently released it’s half year results for the period ended 30th November 2015.
It was pretty clear to me by the end of last week that another push down looks very likely and I am happy to have some chunky Short Positions in place to Hedge out the majority of any downside if it comes.
