Trading in BOS Global suspended

BOS GLOBAL Holdings Limited (“BOS” or “the Company”) (AIM: BOS) announces that it expects to publish the annual accounts for Forte Energy NL (the Company’s former name) for the period to 30 June 2016 (the “Accounts”) on 6 January 2017. Publication of the Accounts has been delayed pending completion of the audit process.

Asiamet Resources Limited (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has closed a brokered private placement announced on December 6, 2016.  The Company has issued and settled through CREST 86,956,521 common shares at a price of GBP 2.3 pence per share for total gross proceeds of £2 million (equivalent to approximately CDN $3.7 million at CDN $0.04 per share).

UK’s first ‘on campus’ VC seeks tech stars of future

A new venture capital firm is the first in the UK to build ‘on campus’ investment funds in partnership with leading universities.

Campus Capital is launching its first £2m fund and has signed up the University of Sheffield as its first partner. It is also in talks with other northern universities and plans to roll out the model nationally.

Miners sharpen marketing strategies in hunt for marginal gains

The world’s big mining groups are sharpening their marketing strategies in a post-crisis scramble for even tiny increases in profit, seeking marginal gains much like cycling teams in the Tour de France or Olympic velodrome.

Anglo American, BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto are using varying tactics to boost profitability on commodities such as copper, iron ore and coal, as the traditional model of simply producing more is under strain and the recovery from a deep downturn remains tentative.

The Psychology of the TopChop – Part 1 of 3

It has been on my mind for yonks that I need to write more on the Psychological Aspects of Investing / Trading and I regularly get asked for material along these lines via Twitter etc. The catch is that I have found it difficult to really get started on the subject although I am not totally sure why that is. Partly I feel that I know a fair bit about the subject but perhaps not in enough depth to write about it really well – and this could be holding me back from getting the enthusiasm needed to put fingers to keyboard.
